Where Beauty & Body Align
Esthetics & Block Therapy what a combo!
In my practice
We are lifting our faces rather than getting a face-lift
The face is anatomically unique from the rest of the body. We are holding the full life experience in our faces: emotion, environment, stress, worry, habits; as well as all the joy in life, leaving legacy & character. Besides all of this, a lot of the aging appearance we experience is due to overall negative body posture pulling the face down and a narrowing causing diminished blood and nutrient flow resulting in adhesions and wrinkles in the face. Time to liberate!!

As a liscensed Esthetician, I am dedicated to a holistic approach to skincare and beauty and bringing out the natural glow within each person. My specialty is facial massage working with the fascia and lymph utilizing proven methods to cleanse, uplift and rejuvenate along with the traditional Chinese understanding of raising “Shen” or the light within.
Block Therapy is the gift of deep bodywork
that we give to ourselves.
It is a DIY self-care practice. Let me teach you the ropes
….on the Block!
I love to share this gem as we are all so prone to chasing diagnoses, trying to figure out what’s going on, trying many different things to heal, and doing physical fitness things that lock in already poor alignment, getting old saying “it’s just aging” Oftentimes we just need to open up the body’s spaces so the flow gets going and the body knows how to get better.

I began learning to "heal myself" from a chronic physical ailment back in the late 80s. I just had to do a little research, figure out what the cause was and treat it simply with stuff from the kitchen so to speak. That started me on a holistic path.

At that time I was still an International Flight Attendant based out of Honolulu, and I began studying herbal medicine and massage.
In 1993 I then made a big life change, left my airline career to pursue life on land and moved to Marin County, CA where I continued practicing and studying body-work, herbs, nutrition, permaculture, community farming and other nature based interests.
I moved to Ashland, Oregon in 2003 to raise my daughter in a beautiful small mountain town.
Here, I focused my work on building community: applying my organizing and strategic skills to grant writing, permaculture landscape/foodscape design, personal assistance, a housecleaning biz which I still love to do, and growing community food via creating The Village Farm project, which is no longer happening but was a great blueprint and project at the time.
By 2015 I was wanting to do hands on healing work again, so certified in Reflexology. Knowing that the hands on work is my vocation, and not wanting to do full on bodywork again, I trained as an Esthetician in 2017 with the intention of doing things holistically and uniquely.
I continued studying different facial modalities such as proven lymphatic work, theories of chinese medicine, asian beauty techniques, sculpting massage, movement, gua sha, stones, heat & cold, increasing circulation & diaphragmatic breathing for vitality & glow.
Between the face & the feet, the whole body can be rejuvenated and uplifted for beauty & balance.
Come 2023, Block Therapy arrived at a time in my life of great change and grieving, and even though it’s mostly thought of as physical fascia work…everything moves through the fascia, or gets stuck there: emotions, trauma, genetic, etheric, karmic….and doing the deep fascia work is how I have found to access, move, release & rejuvenate.
Bringing this deep fascia knowledge into my esthetic practice has brought the perfect elements together and creates a facial experience like no other.
